We have a special edition today; the great State Fair of Texas opens tomorrow and runs through October 18. Tickets are cheaper this year, and parking came down $5. Better yet, skip the parking lot entirely and take DART.

The State Fair of Texas: 140 Years of Corny Dogs, Scholarships, and More
Adult tickets dropped $2. Children 3 to 12 get in for $10 every day. After 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, everyone pays $10. And your ticket does more than you'd think. The fair is a nonprofit, and its twenty-four days fund produce for South Dallas food banks and $25.3 million in scholarships since 2018.
Get Up and Go to the State Fair on DART
A day pass is $6. Half that if you’re 65 or older, and you can get the reduced-fare card the same day at the DARTmart downtown. Park & Ride parking is free, and the Green Line drops you at the main gate. Just write down your last train before you go.
